The mark on the Pajarillo hill.
On 9 January 1986 a burnt patch appeared on the Pajarillo hill, near Ongamira. A boy said he saw a big red light from his window. The story went from a local radio to the national news, and thousands of visitors came.
Five people tell this story on camera. Their details do not agree. One remembers the boy at 12, another at 9 or 10. Two of them say it may have been lightning, or a stunt for tourists.
